Opplæringen
Globalskolen gir undervisning med hovedvekt på lese- og skriveopplæring. Ordinære norske fagplaner ligger til grunn. Opplegget er godkjent av Utdanningsdirektoratet og kommer inn under ordningen for kompletterende undervisning. Tilbudet gjelder også for elever som har norsk som andrespråk. Elevene skal bruke minimum 90 minutter per uke på opplæringen i hvert semester – som er på 15 uker.
Kriterier for deltagelse
• Eleven må ha opphold i utlandet i minimum ett semester (et halvt år).
• Eleven må delta på en lokal eller internasjonal skole i oppholdslandet. • Eleven må ha norsk personnummer. Eleven må skoleåret 2011-2012 være født tidligst i 1996 og seinest i 2005.

• For høstsemesteret 2011: 30. august
• For vårsemesteret 2012: 30. januar
Om Globalskolen
• Globalskolen er en sertifisert nettskole med godkjenning fra Utdanningsdirektoratet.
• Skolen ble startet i 1998 og er med sine 1200 elever februar 2011 den største aktøren innen kompletterende undervisning.
• Årlige foreldreundersøkelser viser svært høy grad av brukertilfredshet.
• Vi samarbeider med fagmiljøer i Norge og tilsvarende skoler i Danmark, Tyskland og Nederland.
• Lærerne har høy nettfaglig kompetanse og brei erfaring fra norsk grunnskole.
• Globalskolen er et non-profit aksjeselskap. Ordning i endring Fram til 31.7.2012 trappes statens tilskudd til grupper og foreldre som forestår kompletterende undervisning ned. Ordningen videreføres for nettskoler, og Globalskolen står klar til å ta imot flere elever.

Globalskolen is an institution which offers free education in the subjects Norwegian, Social studies and Religion & Ethics for pupils in primary and secondary school age living abroad. The teaching is online and is weekly based. The students and their teacher do not have to be online at the same time. This is a flexible program for the families, but still with a fixed structure through the school year. The offer is suitable for families who want to stay in touch with Norway and Norwegian language.
The education
Globalskolen offers courses with an emphasis on reading and writing. The curriculum of Globalskolen is based on the Norwegian national curriculum considering both content and methodology. The program has been approved by the Education Directorate and is a part of “Complementary education for children abroad”. The offer also applies to students who have Norwegian as a second language. Students are expected to study for a minimum of 90 minutes per week in each semester. The two semesters a year last 15 weeks each.
Criteria for participation
• The student must have a residence abroad for at least one semester (six months).
• The student must attend a local or international school.
• The student must have a Norwegian social security number.
• For the school year 2011-2012 the student must have been born between 1th January 1996 and 31th December 2005.

Globalskolen
• Globalskolen is approved by the Education Directorate.
• The school was started in 1998, and with its 1200 students in February 2011 it is the biggest complementary school for students abroad.
• Annual parent surveys show a high degree of user satisfaction.
• We cooperate with academic communities in Norway and similar schools in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.
• Our teachers have high expertise in ICT and broad experience from the primary and secondary schools in Norway.
• Globalskolen is a non-profit corporation. By 31.7.2012 the state will end the grants to groups and parents conducting supplementary instruction. The scheme continues for online schools, and Globalskolen is ready to accept more students.
